Familia y Amigos!!! January 28, 2013 MTC
Provo, Utah (Sister Myreel Pease)
Well another week, which means I
have almost reached my halfway point at the MTC...ya, pretty loco!! This past
week we received another investigator named Gloria! Even though these
investigators aren't really investigating, Our teachers, who are our fake
investigators, have taken real investigators from their mission. When our
teacher pointed that out, it was neat to realize that these people who are
constantly on our minds, who we are constantly praying for, and who we are
constantly study for are actually real people indeed. My companions and I love
these investigators...and when they are not our investigators we love them as
our teachers, Hermana Collette and Hermano Zenger!!! Both are amazing teachers
who are inspired by the spirit. Hermano Zenger reminds me of Dad, seriously!! I
learn so much from him and I feel that more importantly, Hermano Zenger has
taught me how to better learn from the spirit!
Well Mom, remember how before I came
to the MTC we were talking about the 300 missionaries who had the stomach flu
at the MTC and how I didn't want to get it...well, I made the cuts for
receiving 2 days of sitting in my room while throwing up, just my luck, haha.
Actually it wasn't too bad, only threw up like 3 times. I was sick on Friday
and Saturday, but a couple days before, my companions and I were joking how it
would be nice if one of us would get sick so the other 2 companions would have
more personal time to study, cuz there is never enough time for personal study
time. Friday morning when I woke up throwing up, all I could say to my
companions was "merry Christmas." We all promised to never wish for
something like that again.
Friday when I went to the clinique I
saw Elder Scofield. I felt really bad, because he had hurt his leg
somehow...I wasn't really coherent when he was telling me what happened but I
think he's good, he always has a positive attitude about the mish and is just
so excited for Germany! He also told me that he is escorting on Wednesday,
which is when Heidi and Emily come!!! I am just so excited to see those girls
and I know they are going to be amazing missionaries. Each week it's amazing to watching the MTC
grow with larger masses of missionaries. We were told that by the summer there
should up to 8,000 missionaries in the MTC...the Lord knows what he is
doing and it is so amazing to be a part of this miraculous work.
Thanks again for all the prayers that go to the missionaries...I am trying my
best and am loving it here! Many days are hard and stressful but I know
why I am here! I love the Lord and want others to come unto Christ so that they
can feel the love and happiness that I feel! The gospel is true!!
Love, Hermana Pease
